Temptations are bound to come your way as a believer. But to overcome these temptations and live a righteous life demands that you should no longer have a body of sin, until then can you overcome temptations

We are often tempted by our desires and lusts that is within us, making us to consciously sin against God.

But what we ignore is that, every temptation we face is an opportunity to overcome sin. Overcoming temptation comes with a spiritual promotion.

The word of God will always keep you equipped and prepared to resist any form of temptation. Study these Bible verse and start putting it to action.

  1. Psalm 119:11 “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”

  2. Luke 22:40 “On reaching the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”

  3. James 4:7 “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

  4. 1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

  5. Luke 11:4 “Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.And lead us not into temptation.”

  34. Philippians 3:8 “What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.”

  35. Matthew 13:22 “The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.”

  36. 2 Peter 2:9 “If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.”
