Turning Away From Evil To God

Repentance is to turn from evil and turn to good. Theologically, repentance is returning to God and turning away from evil.

Turning from your evil ways, which include sins and idol worshiping requires that you confess your sins, renounce all your abominable practices

Repentance is depended on confession of sins, then will God grant divine forgiveness. To receive Salvation, you must repent from your sins, It is a condition for Salvation

A genuine repentance will make you realise “I’ve sinned and come short of God’s glory” and it is evident by complete returning to God.

CHARACTERISTICS OF REPENTANCE

  • Repentance comes with a genuine brokenness

  • It does not intend to go back sinning after God’s forgiveness

  • Repentance is remorseful and honest acknowledgement of sin which is followed by commitment to and genuine actions that show and prove a change for the better.
