To be saved from sin

SALVATION simply means to be rescued from jeopardy. Usually, Salvation means to be saved by God from the consequences of our sin.

Theologically, there are four (4) things that you should look at when you talk about Salvation

1. What are you saved from?

According to the Bible, you are saved from futility, purposelessness, and suffering. More practically, some people talk about being saved from lust of flesh, addiction, bad company and sin in general.

2. Who is saving you?

God Himself saved us through Christ, by giving Jesus to come and die for our iniquity because He loves us. You can not save yourself, you are the one in danger and needs rescue.

3. What are you saved to?

After being saved, what next? You have to be saved to something. You are rescued from sin to God,  you are remove from bondage to God’s freedom, you are taken from restlessness to total peace, you are taken from bad company into a true relationship. You are saved to God.

4. How do you get saved?

Salvation comes through repentance and belief, believing that Jesus died for you to be saved, and accepting He’s your Saviour. For He has paid your moral debt, making you holy and righteous in order to nullify the wrath of God against your sins.
