Trust is the firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of God. In simple words it means believing and having confidence that God has the power to help you and He is ever ready to help you.
It is quite unfortunate that Christians put their trust in friends, parent, money, or leaders more than they trust God.
Trusting humans comes with disappointments as most of us have experienced, It is completely futile to trust any other being than God and that is the reason God wants you to put your trust in him.
Trusting God is the only true path to life, Jesus trusted God completely even till death, making straight the path of our salvation.
When you trust God, it shows that you acknowledge Him, this brings God into the picture. He will take charge over everything you embark on (Proverbs 3:5-6)
The Spirit of God come to dwell in your heart when you accept Jesus as your Saviour, you have direct access to God, you can speak to Him without need of a third party. when you speak he hears and He speaks back if you listen. The best way you can hear him speak to you is through His word (The Bible).
Study these Bible verses, believe in God’s word over your life with all your heart and begin to see the miraculous works of God upon your life.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Psalm 56:3 “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
