Judgement – Biblical Understanding

Judgement Biblical Understanding

Judgement

The Bible admonishes Christians not to judge according to Matthew 7.

But the Bible also ask Christians to discern and judge what is truth according to Matthew 7:6

“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.”

How do you know the dogs and pigs if you don’t judge?

The dogs and pigs are not capable of accepting the truth.

In a broader sense, The Bible do not totally speak about not making judgement but categorically talks about you “first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

But sometimes judgement is needed and that is the reasons God selects decons and eldders not to pass judgement but decern what is unbiblical and take decisions accordingly, but they must meet a certain criteria in order to be in that position (1 Timothy 3)

Now, it is clear that the Bible wants us to discern the truth and make decisions but not to judge for He alone is capable of judgement.
But always remember God major goal is for people to know and believe in Jesus not just to change their behaviour.
